After breakfast, and with our bus, we will travel to Picos de Europa to visit the Lakes of Covadonga and the Sanctuary. Later we will go to Cangas de Onis, the first Spanish capital after the Reconquest, where we will have lunch. In the afternoon we will return to the train and visit the fishing village of Llanes. Dinner on board and we will spend the night in Cabezón de la Sal.

Today, our first stop will be at the Neocave of Altamira, a museum and accurate reproduction of the best exponent of cave painting art of the Upper Palaeolithic. Our next stop will be Santillana del Mar, a town with a magnificently preserved medieval historic centre. After lunch, we will head to Santander, the elegant capital of Cantabria, now, by train. There we will take a guided tour and, after, you can enjoy some free time. Dinner and night in Santander. 

El Transcantábrico will head to Bilbao during breakfast. Upon arrival, we will say goodbye to the crew and to the train. There we will visit this city which has managed to reinvent itself after the decline of its traditional heavy industry. Our tour will include the entrance to the famous Guggenheim Museum, symbol of this new Bilbao. After the visit, we will travel to our end destination: San Sebastián. There we will have lunch at the Hotel Costa Vasca and finish this marvelous trip around 16:30.
