The interest in tourist train tourism has experienced an exponential growth during the last year. Each time there are more travelers who choose to make a thematic journey, with the train as transport vehicle and company.
This is one of the determining factors in the birth of the online travel agency Luxotren, specialized in luxury train tourism, which aims to make it easier for users to plan and manage this sector of the world of travel.
From the Trans-Siberian to the Train of Wonders in Ecuador, the agency focuses on national and international, cultural and thematic trains.

The train dresses up to fight against the plane and the sharing economy
Evolve or die? With that question, a means of transport like the train, can take the hint. Since the steam engine gave rise to the Industrial Revolution, the train has had to get adapted and modernized, against the clock, to these times where technology sets the pace. But, far from be intimidated, the train of today offers an offer that tries to keep together tradition and modernity.
In Spain, the jewel in the crown - leaving aside the AVE - are tourist trains. The Al Andalus, the Transcantábrico or the Train of the Pilgrim are only some of those that cross the Spanish geography with all kind of luxuries. But, of course, this happens not only in Spain. Several countries had already offered it for many years.
The passion for these trains is so important that a new travel agency, specialized in the sale of this type of trips, has been born, Luxotren. The company offers trains from the Trans-Siberian to the Train of Wonders in Ecuador. Depending on the category of the cabin and the train, price range from 4,500 euros to 22,000 for the imperial suites. However, the average price of the trip is around 6,000 euros.

The growing interest in luxury trains prompts the birth of specialised travel agencies
Renfe tourist train season starts this weekend with almost 2,400 places available in the luxury ones -Al Andalus and Transcantábrico-.
The last one has been Luxotren, fruit of the combined experience of Viajarsolo.com and Viajes Célebres, which joins others, already operating, as Viajerosaltren.com, which was born last summer, trenesdelujo.com, turismoentren.com or aviotren.com.
These agencies offer trips aboard the famous Trans-Siberian, the train that runs through the Andes Mountains or the one that cross the vast expanses of Australia.
In Spain it was necessary to fill that gap in luxury train tourist market and the agencies have lost no time in appearing in society.
Luxotren, for example, specialises in long-distance travels and in trains such as the Trans-Siberian, the Train of Wonders (Ecuador) or the Transcantábrico Gran Lujo.
Decor, gastronomy adapted to the geographical area and attention of the crew are some of the lures of this type of tourism, explains Luxotren.

Viajarsolo and Viajes Célebres launch Luxotren, the travel agency specialised in luxury trains
The travel agencies Viajarsolo.com and Viajes Célebres have launched Luxotren, a new agency specialised in luxury trains that will offer trips with prices ranging from 4,500 euros to 22,000 for the imperial suites, as reported in a statement.
However, the average price of the trip will be around 6,000 euros and will last from four to seven days, depending on the route. The most requested destinations include Beijing, Moscow, Guayaquil or Quito. In addition, the company will be specialised in long distance routes and in trains such as the Trans-Siberian, The Train of Wonders or El Transcantábrico Gran Lujo.
