Route

Day 1: Thursday León - Valporquero - Cistierna

Meeting point at Hotel Real Colegiata de San Isidoro, León, at 10:00. Visit to the monumental city of León and lunch. In the early afternoon, transfer by bus to San Feliz where we will take the train. Presentation of the crew and accomodation while the Costa Verde Express arrives at Matallana. During the evening, the bus will cross the spectacular Hoces de Vegacervera. At our arrival at Valporquero, we will visit its caves, famous for their stalactites, stalagmites and flows of whimsical shapes. Back to the train we will travel to Cistierna for dinner and stay overnight.
Day 2: Friday Cistierna - Románico Palentino - Espinosa de los Monteros

During breakfast on board, the train heads to Guardo, in Palencia, where we will board our bus to visit the Roman Villa of La Olmeda and its collection of mosaics. Continuation of the tour to discover one of the most important groups of Romanesque art in Europe, on the Camino de Santiago, formed by Saldaña, Carrión de los Condes and Frómista. Visit to the temple of San Martín and the Canal de Castilla. Lunch. Back on the train, transfer to Espinosa de los Monteros, a beautiful town in Las Merindades, Burgos, for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Saturday Espinosa de los Monteros - Bilbao

Enjoying the landscape of the Mena Valley during breakfast, arrival in Balmaseda for its visit. Next, in our luxury coach, we will head to Bilbao. Visit of this modern and unique city, an example of urban transformation, and its famous Guggenheim Museum. Spare time. The trip will end at approximately 2:00 p.m. at La Concordia station.
